About Us

Our Story

I started growing vegetables in the early 2000s when the story of Hideaway Farm begins.

Unhappy with the common farming practices used in Bermuda at the time, and drawing inspiration from organic farming, I developed my nature-based, sustainable farming methodology. This resulted in higher-quality produce and much healthier soil.

A diverse set of plants started growing on our farm. Bermuda carrots, bananas, onion, garlic, broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, string beans, collard greens, beetroot, sweet potatoes, and many others. A few years later, I started growing cut flowers, including my favourite – sunflower.

Twenty years later, my farming methods are used on a slightly larger scale. Thanks to all the support from friends, family and most importantly our loyal customers.

Hope to see you soon at our farm stand!
